As a self-confessed nerd, I am passionate about what I do for a living and my goal is to connect people and businesses with the right services. I have worked as an engineer, business developer and communicator, which has given me valuable experience in engaging with people from different backgrounds and cultures. I came to realise that we often simply misunderstand each other.

The path to a sustainable future is not obvious, nor is it simple. Advanced technology cannot stand by itself, but needs to be connected to viable business practices and the socio-economic consequences. All of them need to be equal parts of a larger vision for a better word.

With experience on some of the different sides of the Polyhedron of the world’s complexity, I am ready to act as a bridge between technology, business and communication. And with that, contribute to a sustainable future.

Education

My parents taught me that formal education acts as an important part in understanding the world in more depth. While it cannot substitute practical experience and - in a way - being street smart, it still gives valuable context.

My own path has brought me from the basics in civil engineering, to a specialisation in structural calculations within the same field. That was topped with a focus on acoustics, primarily on environmental implications and sustainable development. And lastly, all of this was connected a few years later with a formal business background, focused on business design and the complexity of entrepreneurial thinking to achieve goals.

All of this has given me insight into the strategic thinking of different professions and how to combine it in complex situations.

  • Chalmers University of Technology | Gothenburg, Sweden | 2021

    Inderdisciplinary studies with focus on Business Design and Entrepreneurship. Specialised on Venture Creation.

    Areas covered are, among others, IP management, branding, business development, customer acquisition, finances and funding. In a nutshell, the creation of something from nothing.

    Collaboration with Chalmers Ventures and Idea providers led to the establishment of a start-up in the mHealth segment.

    Master’s thesis with focus on productivity and efficiency of Entrepreneurs in Sweden and Egypt with intercultural contextualisation.

    Studies with focus on Environmental & Building Acoustics, Sustainability Transitions, Soundscaping and interdisciplinary Urban Planning.

    This includes formal technical education, the application of standardised test methods, report writing and statistical analysis. Additionally, concepts for strategic thinking and complexity of sustainability.

    Thesis written in the Challenge Lab, led by John Holmberg, UNESCO Chair in Education for Sustainable Development.

BASF SE is a German multinational chemical company and the largest chemical producer in the world.
As a Market Developer in the Performance Materials unit within Construction, I am working on early investigations into market entry to Scandinavia.
Performance Maeterials focuses on innovative solutions for climate protection in order to achieve noteworthy results in a transitioning future.

Business & Empire Building

Establishment of a registered family business that acts as a hub for current and future endeavours. The goal is to set up a family business on multiple pillars, but with focus on hospitality in Gothenburg. It’s about creating business in the city and region, support the local economy and business and work on improving the reputation of the city of Gothenburg as a place worth visiting.

The first project is a food truck focused on vegan Polish pierogi (Papi’s Pierogi) launched in 2023.

Göteborg Walking Tours is a tourism company based in Gothenburg. The mission is to provide cultural and historical knowledge to travellers of all budgets and by this promote exchange between them and give them an incentive to look for details in specifically the city of Gothenburg. This helps to further work towards a peaceful understanding of different cultures in their historical context.
As sole Founder I am responsible for all errands regarding the company. These include all administrative parts such as bookkeeping, stakeholder management and other similar tasks, as well as IT, communications & marketing. And of course being a tour guide is part of the daily work.

Ramboll is a leading engineering, architecture and consultancy company founded in Denmark in 1945.
As an Acoustician, I am part of the Smart Mobility team and work towards making the world a little bit better for the people living and moving in it. Analysing acoustics and finding ways to decrease the negative impacts on health are just parts of it. It’s also about creating unique solutions that combine the best of different engineering practices for a noteworthy result.

Communications Officer | Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) | Singapore | 2018.10 - 2019.09

The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) is an intergovernmental, not-for-profit organisation based in Singapore. It is the only permanently established institution of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) and active in 51 ASEM member countries.
I was responsible for Digital Communications, mainly Social Media channel management. Strategy creation based on the different target audiences within the organisation (institutions, artists, youth, policy makers, environmentalists, and more), content creation, Social Media management over the whole organisation and analytics utilising Hootsuite were the basis of the work.

Acoustician | AFRY | Gothenburg | 2017.10 - 2018.10

Engineering

AFRY is one of the largest consulting companies in Sweden. I was working as a consultant for building and environmental acoustics.
Among my tasks where the execution and reporting of measurements in the fields of building acoustics, such as Reduction Index between rooms for air-borne and structure-borne sound. Additionally, major aspects were the calculation and planning of various projects with tools such as Soundplan or AutoCAD. Contact with customers and verification of processes were also part of my tasks.

Structural Engineer | ZPP Ingenieure AG | Bochum | 2014.11 - 2015.10

Engineering

ZPP Ingenieure AG is a medium-sized engineering firm in Germany. I was part of the structural department, based in Bochum, Germany.
Among my tasks were the structural calculations of constructions with software like Sofistik, RStab or similar. Also, I was responsible in helping with office tasks such as writing reports of projects with the help of software such as Microsoft Office.

Research Assistant | Fraunhofer Research Institution for Energy Infrastructures and Geothermal Energy IEG | Bochum | 2013.05 - 2014.11 

Research & Engineering

The International Geothermal Centre is a research institute focusing on geothermal energy. It is based in Bochum represents approximately fifteen universities world-wide, which are complemented by various public law institutions.
As Research Assistant I was responsible for the implementation and evaluation of thermal conductivity measurements (Thermal Response Test, Thermal Conductivity scanner), office tasks such as report writing and assisting the professors in lecture preparations. Additionally I was representing the institute at conferences towards stakeholders.
One project I was working with was to establish cooperation with the University of Mekelle in Ethiopia, where I was for the month of March 2014 and worked with stakeholders of the university.
